Invisalign is the clear aligner system that’s been used in more than 90 countries and has improved over 8 million smiles! Proven results have shown that Invisalign can help quickly and effectively straighten teeth without bringing attention to your smile in the process. It’s never too late to get the smile that will set you up for the future. Invisalign caters to both teens and adults as it takes a bit more responsibility to wear than traditional braces. Invisalign Teen offers aligners created specifically for teens to give them a more confident smile and help parents monitor their progress.
What Makes Invisalign® Different?
Compared to traditional braces, Invisalign utilizes clear aligners rather than metal brackets and wires. Many patients find this to be very important to them as it helps boost their self confidence during the treatment process. Because of the clear plastic material, Invisalign is more comfortable and can be easily removed for brushing, flossing and eating. Treatment time is faster too! Typically, patients can complete treatment in 6-12 months depending on their smile.
The Invisalign® Process
The Invisalign process begins by taking digital impressions of your smile with our iTero digital scanner. From these digital impressions, our dentists can see the exact placement of each tooth and form a treatment plan that maps out a timeline for straightening. Sets of custom-made clear aligners will be made to gradually straighten teeth and will need to be changed out every week or two in order to continue adjusting the smile. Every 6-8 weeks a visit will be scheduled with your orthodontist to ensure that straightening is on the right track. You will receive new sets of aligners at each visit until your teen has completed treatment. Once they have worn every set of aligners and their teeth are properly straightened, a retainer can be made to help keep teeth aligned.
